Description

Whole Organic Turkey Tail Mushroom – fan-shaped, banded fruiting bodies of Trametes versicolor, named for their resemblance to a turkey’s tail feathers. The species name versicolor means “several colours”, describing the red, brown and grey bands across the velvety cap.

Woody and leathery, turkey tail is not eaten directly but is decocted for its beneficial constituents, notably beta-glucans. It is revered across traditional healing systems and is the subject of ongoing clinical research into immune and digestive support.*

How to use
